Self Catering Accommodation - sleeps 14
The House of Machrie is a substantial Victorian country house set in beautiful surroundings with fabulous coastal views across the Kilbrannan Sound to the Mull of Kintyre. Built over one hundred years ago as the principal farmhouse on the island it encapsulates Scottish architecture through the ages with crow stepped roof gables and a circular tower, which houses the main staircase.
It is surrounded by mature trees to the rear and overlooks its former kitchen garden and farmland. The house was extensively modernised and refurbished to a high standard in April 2019 and is now a modern sporting lodge accommodating 14 guests in 3 double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, 2 twin bedded rooms with en-suite shower rooms and 2 twin bedded rooms that share a bathroom. All twin bedded rooms can be configured as doubles if required.
